REPEAL BY-LAW

BE IT RESOLVED that the Council of the Municipality of the District of Shelburne, under the authority of the Municipal Government Act, wishes to adopt the following by-law:

1 This By-Law may be cited as By-Law R-200, the “Repeal By-Law”.

2 The following By-Laws are hereby repealed:

  1. By-Law #29, the former Instalment Billing By-Law, passed by this Council on the 13th day of July, 1992 and signed and sealed by the Municipal Clerk of the day on the 20th day of July, 1992;

  2. By-Law #2, the Corporation Seal By-Law, passed by this Council on the 15th day of February, 1978, signed and sealed by the Municipal Clerk the same day and approved by the Minister of the Department of Municipal Affairs (as it was then known) on the 16th day of March 1978 AND as later amended by this Council on the 23rd day of October, 1992, signed and sealed by the Municipal Clerk on the 28th day of October, 1992 and approved by the Minister on the 10th day of November, 1992;

  3. By-Law #3, the Council Meetings By-Law, passed by this Council on the 14th day of December, 1992, signed and sealed by the Municipal Clerk of the day on the 14th day of January, 1993 and subsequently approved, with amendments, by the Minister of the Department of Municipal Affairs on the 1st day of March, 1993.

  4. By-Law #6, the Warden, Deputy Warden and Municipal Officers By-Law, passed by this Council on the 15th day of February, 1978, signed and sealed by the Municipal Clerk the same day and subsequently approved by the Minister of the Department of Municipal Affairs (as it was then known) on the 16th day of March 1978 AND as later amended by this Council on the 23rd day of October, 1992, signed and sealed by the Municipal Clerk on the 28th day of October, 1992 and approved by the Minister on the 10th day of November, 1992 AND as later again amended by this Council on the 8th day of March, 1993, signed and sealed by the Municipal Clerk on the 17th day of March, 1993 and approved by the Minister on the 13th day of April, 1993;

  5. By-Law #21, the Tax Exemption By-Law, passed by this Council on the 12th day of December, 2005; and

  6. All by-laws earlier passed by the Council of the Municipality of the District of Shelburne in relation to partial tax exemption and tax exemption and, in particular, By-Law #21 (2003) – the Tax Exemption By-Law, the Partial Tax Exemption By-Law (1996) and By-Law #27 (1985) – Tax Exemption By-Law for fire companies, Charitable and Non-Profit Organizations.
