Ardith VanBuskirk was elected to Shelburne MunicipalCouncil in 2004 to represent District #2.

Ardith VanBuskirk graduated from Shelburne Regional High School in 1975 with academic grade 12 and went on to graduate from Shelburne Regional Vocational School with a diploma in stenographyin 1976 with honors.

Councillor VanBuskirk currently works at the Shelburne Community Business Development Center as the Administrative Assistant. She has been an active volunteer in many organizations including St. Paul's United Sunday School, CGC Fire Department Ladies Auxillary, Hillcrest Academy Parent Support Group, Roseway River 4H Club, and is a member of the Trinity United Church inShelburne.

Councillor VanBuskirk is married to Cliff VanBuskirk who is a fisherman and has one son, Tyler, who attends Landmark East School in Wolfville. She has hosted 3 exchange students from Denmark,Japan and Brazil.

In her free time, Councillor VanBuskirk enjoys the outdoors, swimming, canoeing and hiking. She also attends workshops and seminars whenever possible to learn more about municipal government. Upgrading her education with computer and writingskills is also important to her.

Ardith is serving District #2, and is available to residents to discuss any issues of concern.
