Roger Taylor was elected to Shelburne Municipal Council in 2008 to represent District 6 which includes West Head, East Green Harbour, West Green Harbour and Benham Rd.

Roger  grew up in Rockland and attended school in Lockeport.  He completed three years toward a Bachelor of Business Administration at Memorial University in St. John’s, NL. 

After 35 years in the RCMP, he retired and now lives in West Middle Sable with his wife, Carol.  They have five children.  They owned a franchise business in Ontario which has been sold.  Carol and one son now own a franchise business in Atlantic Canada. 

During his career, Councillor Taylor spent many hours in community service.  He served as President of a Lions Club, President of a Recreation Commission and Vice-President of a Kiwanis Club at various times.

Councillor Taylor enjoys many sports and outdoor activities.  He is currently a member of the Royal Canadian Legion and participates in some community activities.

Councillor Taylor is available to constituents to discuss any issues of concern.
