WHEN IS A BUILDING PERMIT NOT REQUIRED?
- Accessory Buildings not greater than 20 square meters (215.2 square feet) and not more than 1 storey in height;
- Interior and exterior renovations non-structural material alterations and material repairs with a monetary value of $5,000.00 or less; and
- Replacement or installation of new plumbing fixture that does not increase the hydraulic load of the drainage system or required alterations to an existing water distribution system or drainage system.
You should always inquire with the Inspection Department before any type of construction begins. All construction minor or other must meet the requirements of the National Building Code. |
