After identification of damage to a “K” Class road, Council was approached by a delegation of landowners who were unable to access their properties. A query was made as to whether or not the Municipality could do anything to rectify the situation and restore the road to its previous condition.

In Nova Scotia “K” Class roads are owned by the Province however, not maintained, as they are rarely used by the public. The Municipality has no authority to ensure that users are respectful of its condition.

Below is correspondence with the Province to request assistance with this matter.
