The Municipality of the District of Shelburne’s Audit Committee has a vacancy for one (1) individual to assist Council in fulfilling their oversight responsibilities related to quality and integrity of financial reporting. The Committee is created under the authority of the Municipal Government Act, and includes both elected and non-elected representatives.
Letters of application will be received from residents by the undersigned until the position has been filled. Letters of application should include a brief biography of the individual and information, skills or assets that will be useful to the Committee, together with three professional and/or volunteer related references. Applicants should have a strong financial background and be able to comprehend complex financial and regulatory processes and will be required to provide a criminal record check and adhere to the Municipal Code of Conduct and Confidentiality Agreement.
