Nova Scotia RCMP’S Apology to African Nova Scotians

On Saturday, September 7 the Nova Scotia RCMP will be apologizing to African Nova Scotians and all people of African descent for the historic use of street checks and other harmful interactions.
The apology will take place at the North Preston Community Centre, and will be livestreamed in various locations across the province, including the Black Loyalist Heritage Centre.
Community members are invited to the Black Loyalist Heritage Centre to view the apology. There will be light refreshments, and a performance by Connie Cromwell.
The Centre will open at 12:30PM, with the livestream to begin at 1:00PM.
