Facilities

The Municipality maintains several outdoor recreation facilities including two parks, four trails and seven Interpretive Sites. The Municipality also jointly coordinates, with the Town of Shelburne, the Shelburne County Arena and Shelburne Regiona High School Community Use room.

COVID-19 UPDATE

Welkum Park and Jordan Youth Park are OPEN
To ensure the safety of all park visitors, please see the measures and guidelines below, which are to be followed while visiting our parks and for any water related activities:
-There will not be any portable toilets (porta-potties) on site for the time being
-When using any play equipment make sure to wash or sanitize hands before and after using
-Practice social distancing (6 feet apart)
-Avoid gathering in large groups (as per current restrictions)
-Practice good hygiene – wash or sanitize hands often, avoid touching face, cover mouth if cough or sneeze
-Bring your own hand sanitizer or handwashing supplies
-If you are experiencing symptoms related to COVID-19 do not visit the park

Trails are OPEN. You can walk, run and bike on the trails and several are also for motorized use (OHVs). Only use trails that you live close to, that you can walk or ride to get to. And whether you are on foot or riding make sure to follow social distancing guidelines (keep 6 feet/2 metres away from others).

 Community Use of SRHS is CLOSED. This includes all programs and rentals.
