The Municipal and CSAP election is Saturday, October 19, 2024.

Under the Municipal Elections Act [s. 14], a person entitled to be registered on the list of electors and to vote in a municipal election must:

  • be 18 years or older on the first advance polling day;
  • is a Canadian citizen on the first advance polling day;
  • have been ordinarily resident in the Province for a period of 6 (six) months immediately preceding the first advance polling day; and
  • is ordinarily resident in the municipality or in an area annexed to the municipality and to have been so since immediately before the first advance polling day

The election is fully electronic, and voting can be done from the comfort and safety of your own home by internet or telephone. In the event a person does not have access to a telephone or internet to vote electronically, or they require assistance, they can use the telephone helpline or voter kiosk.

Voter Kiosk:
Early Voting October 7 to 18 – open weekdays, excluding holidays, from 9:00am to 4:30pm, from October 7 to October 18.
Election Day, Saturday, October 19 – open from 8am to 7pm.
