When is the election?
The Municipal and CSAP election is Saturday, October 19, 2024.
Who is qualified to vote?
Under the Municipal Elections Act [s. 14], a person entitled to be registered on the list of electors and to vote in a municipal election must:
- be 18 years or older on the first advance polling day;
- is a Canadian citizen on the first advance polling day;
- have been ordinarily resident in the Province for a period of 6 (six) months immediately preceding the first advance polling day; and
- is ordinarily resident in the municipality or in an area annexed to the municipality and to have been so since immediately before the first advance polling day
How can I vote?
The election is fully electronic, and voting can be done from the comfort and safety of your own home by internet or telephone. Telephone support will be available for voters requiring assistance, as well as a kiosk in the municipal building during business hours.

When can I vote?
Voting will open at 8:00 am Monday, October 7 and close at 7:00 pm Saturday, October 19, 2024 on election day.
Is my vote secure?
The voting system ensures voter anonymity and secrecy of the vote.
I need to be added to the list of electors.
There will be an advertised revision period, at which time eligible voters can be added to the list. Revisions will take place August 13, 2024 to August 19, 2024 from 9:00 am to 4:30 pm.
