The Municipality of the District of Shelburne’s Recreation & Parks Department offers a variety of recreational programs and services throughout the year.

Programs/Activities offered throughout the year:
Anthony Gosbee Recreational Hockey is a program designed for children to learn the fundamentals of hockey in a way that is fun and affordable. The program runs Saturday mornings during the hockey season at the Shelburne County Arena. Ages 4-12 (who are not registered in minor hockey).
Summer Recreation Programs We offer a wide vareity of programs and events for all ages each summer. Throughout July and August we offer a mixture of full-day, half-day and mulit-day programming for childen and youth that include, sports, cooking, arts & crafts, outdoor activities and more! We also offer Parent n’ Tot activities, Adult programming, and our annual Seniors Picnic. The Summer Fun Guide is available in early June and includes all program information and how to register.
Community Use Programs take place at the Shelburne Regional High School and are offered throughout the year. Find out about program listings and more information about Community Use at SRHS.
Adult Craft Program-4-week program designed for older adults and seniors. Each week a different craft project for all abilities is completed. All supplies are provided. Program happens in the fall and spring at different community halls.
Learn to Skate for Adults is a program to learn how to skate or improve skating skills and takes place at the Shelburne County Arena.
Active Start Basketball Programs are offered to children ages 3-5 (not in school) for 5 sessions in the winter. The programs focus on teaching fundamental movement skills and basic basketball skills though fun games and activities.
March Break Activities are offered free to families during March Break. This includes activitites such as public skating, open gym time and outdoor activities.
Youth Leadership Program is for youth in grades 7-9 who are interested in developing leadership skills and gaining volunteer experience, primarily working with children. The program is free and consist of a mandatory orientation at the beginnig of July and volunteering at summer programs during July and August.
Try-It Clinics A vareity of outdoor try-it clinics are offered year round, including kayaking, archery, snowshoeing, pickleball and more. Clinics are designed to provide an introduction to an activity. All equipmetn is provided for participants to learn the basics.
Equipment Loan Program
The Recreation and Parks Departments has a variety of sports and recreation equipment that can be borrowed for free.
