Street Lights
The placement of street lights in the Municipality of the District of Shelburne is to provide for and ensure a certain level of safety and security for vehicular and/or pedestrian traffic. In doing so, Council must also minimize the environmental impact of street lights while meeting these needs. The Municipality of the District of Shelburne may consider the placement, removal, relocation or addition of a street light, in accordance with the conditions specified in the Municipality’s Street Lighting Policy. Report an Outage or Damaged Street Light
If you need to report a burned out or damaged streetlight please call 1-800-428-6230 and press 0 to speak to a NS Power Customer Service Representative.
You may submit your request online at Nova Scotia Power. You will need to provide the location of the streetlight by closest property or intersection. There is no charge for this service.
