Access to Mental Health Services

Do you know of any Shelburne County residents that struggle to access mental health care due to transportation barriers?

There is now an great subsidy opportunity that has been made available by the Mental Health Foundation of Nova Scotia, www.mentalhealthns.ca, through their Community Grants program!

While funds last, clients paying out-of-pocket can be referred to Sou’West Nova Transit by a health or community service provider to have their transportation fares significantly reduced (up to 100%!) for pre-booked travel to mental health related appointments throughout Nova Scotia!
