As we spend more time outdoors enjoying Nova Scotia’s beautiful trails, parks, and beaches, remember to protect yourself and your family from ticks.
Wear long sleeves and pants when walking in wooded or grassy areas
Use insect repellent containing approved tick protection ingredients
Stay on cleared paths whenever possible
Check yourself, children, and pets for ticks after being outdoors
Shower soon after coming inside to help spot ticks early

A few minutes of prevention can help keep everyone safe and healthy this season.
