As we spend more time outdoors enjoying Nova Scotia’s beautiful trails, parks, and beaches, remember to protect yourself and your family from ticks.

✔ Wear long sleeves and pants when walking in wooded or grassy areas
✔ Use insect repellent containing approved tick protection ingredients
✔ Stay on cleared paths whenever possible
✔ Check yourself, children, and pets for ticks after being outdoors
✔ Shower soon after coming inside to help spot ticks early
