The Municipality’s Disposal of Surplus Property Policy provides a structured, transparent, and accountable approach to managing properties that are no longer required for public use. By clearly defining the process for identifying, declaring, and disposing of surplus lands, municipalities can maximize the value of their assets, reduce long-term maintenance costs, and ensure lands are put to productive use.

The properties below have been declared surplus property by Council under the following categorizations:

Housing

These properties are designated for residential development, particularly to address housing needs such as affordable housing, mixed-income developments, or other community housing priorities.

Regular Sale

Properties that do not fall into the other categories and are suitable for general sale to the public without specific development or community use requirements.

Economic Development

Properties categorized under Economic Development are intended to drive initiatives that support local economic activity.

Adjacent Landowners

This category includes small or irregularly shaped parcels that are not suitable for independent development but may be useful to neighboring property owners for expansion, access, or consolidation.
