Amalgamation Steering Committee Meeting

The Committee will be meeting with Deputy Minister LaFleche of the Department of Municipal Affairs and MLA Nolan Young to determine whether Provincial funding may be available to complete the studies and reports required for a potential NSRAB amalgamation application. Please be advised that, at the Province’s request, this discussion will be held in-camera and will not be open to public attendance.

This committee is for the Municipality of Shelburne, Town of Shelburne, and Town of Lockeport to explore the feasibility, implications, opportunities and challenges of municipal amalgamation.
