SHELBURNE – The Municipality of Shelburne today announced funding towards museums and tourism organizations that operate in the Municipality and in the Town of Shelburne.

The following organizations will receive funding :

• Destination Southwest Nova Association - $3426
• Town of Shelburne Visitor Information Centre - $2500
• Shelburne Museum Complex - $3218
• Black Loyalist Heritage Society - $6350

These organizations do considerable work in the area to encourage tourism development and to provide support to the local tourism industry. Any not-for-profit organizations who wish to apply for funding for this coming year must do so by March 31, 2009.
